This track was originally programmed at around the 98bpm tempo and sounded really good even then. When we decided to speed it up we had to re-program the drum track to offer the grove we were looking for. On this track we were going for a 1980’s sound with the electro-Synth bass line.

We wanted to create a track especially for club dance floors that had the feel of Cameo’s classic “Candy” because we love and listen to many Funk style records. We found it hard at first to picture what could go on top of the track vocally.

In the end we created something original while remaining current and familiar. The key was for the song to come across as simple as possible, yet after hearing the song a few times, you knew the song had many Funk and harmonic elements that were reminiscent of old school Funk and R&B.
