The opener for this debut album by Gemini Infinity is what we call a “club snapper”.

The entry of the track is a snapping drum break which builds solidly with the deep sub tones of 808 drums bouncing in after the first 4 bars. At the same time there comes the contrast of the light and smooth sonic of the melodic and dreamy chords as provided by Xantoné Blacq to add the soul vibrations.

We wanted to have vocals but nothing too heavy, just quick, catchy and fun so “really and truly, you should really get to know me” became the hook to use. Interestingly enough, the melody for this song was originally created for a track called “Let It Go” performed by platinum selling UK R&B artist “Shola Ama” and a demo was recorded by Funky DL over a slower track some time ago, but it was never used for release.

When we were in the studio putting this track together, something said to us that this had to be the 1st track on the LOVECHASEDREAM album because we felt that because of its energy, it could really get people interested into the rest of the songs. Funnily enough “Really and Truly” was the first song recorded for the LOVECHASEDREAM album, but without hearing the other songs we just knew it would be the first.
